Cathy Seibel

Cathy Seibel is an adjunct professor in law at Columbia Law School.

Seibel has served as a judge for the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York since 2008.  Before that she was an Assistant United States Attorney for over 20 years, finishing her prosecutorial career as Deputy United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York. 

She graduated from Fordham University School of Law in 1985, where she was editor-in-chief of the Fordham Law Review. Seibel graduated from Princeton University in 1982 with an A.B. in politics.
