Caitlin Borgmann is a Sabbatical Visitor at the Center for Gender and Sexuality Law. Borgmann is Professor of Law at CUNY School of Law.
In this lecture, Professor Borgmann will examine the Supreme Court's treatment of state-imposed bodily intrusions. She will first sort out the different constitutional provisions and tests the Court has applied to such intrusions and conclude that the Court lacks a coherent, overarching theory for assessing these claims. She will then propose a unified framework for determining the constitutionality of bodily intrusions.
Non-pizza lunch will be served.
