Day of Inclusion, Celebration and Education.
On Wednesday,
November 14, Orrick will host our fourth annual "Dive/In" – a worldwide
celebration of the different backgrounds and cultures that constitute our global
community. As part of this celebration, we are hosting a variety of speakers,
cultural programs, panel and group discussions, and other events in offices
throughout the firm. Events will be attended by Orrick attorneys, staff, clients
and friends of the firm.

Politics: Perspectives on the 2012 Campaigns.
One week after
Election Day, please join us next Wednesday, November 14, from 6:30 pm until
8:30 pm for a panel discussion on how diversity-related issues impacted the
2012 campaigns and outcome.
Our panel will
include Bill Burton, former deputy press secretary under President Barack Obama
and national press secretary for the Obama for America 2008 campaign, and Sean
Sweeney, former chief of staff to White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel. Bill
and Sean also are Co-founders of the super PAC Priorities USA Action.
Republican Party representatives and other commentators from the front lines of
this year’s campaigns are being confirmed and will be announced in advance of
the event.
