Start/End Tuesday, April 16, 2013 12:10 PM EDT -- 01:10 PM EDT
Location Name JG 107

In order to demonstrate the wide range of policy reforms put in place by the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, this panel will bring together practitioners from different areas of health law:

  • Michael Sparer, Professor and Department Chair of Health Policy and Management, Mailman School of Public Health
  • Dorothea Caldwell-Brown, Office of the NY Attorney General, Health Care Bureau
  • Elisabeth Benjamin, Community Social Services in New York
Professor Sparer will begin by giving a 10 minute overview on the range of health policy reforms put in place by the Affordable Care Act, and how they relate to the act's overall goals of health care access and affordability, after which Ms. Caldwell-Brown and Ms. Benjamin will each talk about how the Affordable Care Act will affect the practices of their organizations.
