CAPI and the Government of Mexico City
On January 6, 2015 at the Antiguo Palacio del Ayuntamiento, Mexico City Mayor Miguel Ángel Mancera presented the City's new transparency and anti-corruption platform, el Modelo para impulsar un gobierno eficiente or Model to Promote an Efficient Government. Created in consultation with the not-for-profit management consulting firm, Bloomberg Associates, and the direct involvement of CAPI Advisory Board Chair Rose Gill Hearn, this new platform will enable Mexico City's citizens to directly, easily, and anomously report government malfeasance and fraud. The program has also established the first whistleblower protections in Mexico's history.
