Services for Alumni
All Columbia University Alumni have lifetime access to the library. Alumni can access materials while on site (electronic resources are only available through public terminals in the Library and some print items must be rquested from offsite storage before your visit). For more information on alumni electronic resource access, see the Alumni Access to Electronic Resources page. The library also provides fee-based services, including document delivery, utilized by many law firms.
While alumni do not need an ID card for access, it may be helpful to get one, particularly if visiting the library during off hours. To get an ID card, visit the Library Information Office in Butler Library.
Alumni also have access to a number of Columbia University libraries on campus.
See the Law School's alumni page for more information about the alumni community.
