The Human Rights Institute is the focal point for human rights education at Columbia Law School. During the academic year, the Human Rights Institute runs an active speakers’ program and cooperates closely with student groups on other program activities.
To learn about human rights opportunities, courses, centers and resources available to you during your time at Columbia Law School, check out our 2016-2017 Human Rights at CLS brochure and the 2018-2019 Student Guide to Human Rights at Columbia Law School.
In addition, through the affiliated Human Rights Clinic, students gain hands-on experience working on active cases and projects with Columbia Law School faculty and leading human rights organizations in the United States and abroad.
