Wayne Chang is Deputy General Counsel, Senior Director of Legal Affairs at Zocdoc, Inc., which is a New York-based tech company offering an online/app marketplace for patients to find and book health care appointments. Wayne leads the legal department at Zocdoc and advises on all matters where technology and the law intersect, including technology transactions; intellectual property licensing, procurement and disputes; privacy & data security; internet law; and government relations. Throughout his time at Zocdoc, Wayne has worked closely with business leaders and technology teams on the ever-evolving legal and compliance challenges that arise for an early-stage, consumer-facing tech company in a highly regulated industry.
Prior to Zocdoc, Wayne advised tech companies (ranging from startups to Fortune 50 companies) on technology transactions, intellectual property issues and privacy at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP in Palo Alto, CA; Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton LLP in Palo Alto, CA; and Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP in New York, NY. Wayne received his Juris Doctor from the University of Toronto, Faculty of Law, and his Bachelor of Applied Science (Hons) in Electrical Engineering from the University of Waterloo. He is licensed to practice law in New York and California.
