Ian Laird is a partner in the Washington, D.C. office of Crowell & Moring.  

He is co-chair of the firm’s international dispute resolution group. He has worked in the investment arbitration field for more than 15 years, including on some of the earliest NAFTA Chapter 11 arbitrations. He is editor-in-chief of www.InvestmentClaims.com, the leading online resource in the field, which is published by Oxford University Press. He is co-director of the International Law Institute’s International Investment Law Center, in Washington, D.C. 

He earned his B.A. from McGill University in 1987, his LL.B. from the University of Windsor and his LL.M. from the University of Cambridge.
