Dr. Dana Pugach is a senior lecturer at the Ono Academic College Faculty of Law, where she has been teaching criminal law, evidence and victims’ rights since 2002. She is the Founder of Noga Center for Crime Victims, the first legal assistance center for crime victims in Israel, an area reflected in her extensive research. Her research interests also include victims’ rights, gender and criminal law and children under the criminal law. She was admitted to the Israeli Bar in 1991, and has combined academic work with legal representation of crime victims, mainly in precedential cases.
Dr. Pugach is the recipient of the Women in Law award to the Israeli Bar Association (2009) , the Minerva Center grant for her work on “Crime Victims’ Rights as Human Rights” (2013), and the Israel Bar Association’s David Weiner Center for Lawyers’ Ethics and Professional Responsibility, research grant: “Victims’ status in plea agreements and a proposal for an improvement”.
