William Shirley of Sidley Austin LLP and Dana Neacsu discuss research aspects regarding the interplay between bankruptcy and derivatives rules. From September 12 through October 31, 2019, on Thursdays at noon, we will cover eight different topics.  For the fourth week, the topics include interdisciplinary (non-legal) research using the Columbia University resources, as well as Bloomberg Law, Lexis Advance and Westlaw Edge. Make sure you bring your laptop because we encourage you to participate in the hands-on experiential training and hone in your skills in various methods of researching the basic economics of a swap transaction and the swaps market. Some non-pizza food will be provided courtesy of the Arthur W. Diamond Law Library. The workshop is sponsored by Columbia Law School’s Writing Center.
