William Shirley of Sidley Austin LLP and Dana Neacsu discuss research aspects regarding the interplay between bankruptcy and derivatives rules. From September 12 through October 31, 2019, on Thursdays at noon, we will cover eight different topics.  For the fifth week, the topics include researching the different means by which financial market participants contract to create “private law” as it pertains to their financial transactions. Make sure you bring your laptop because the workshop will provide hands-on experiential training in order to hone your skills in various methods for researching industry standard documentation. Some non-pizza food will be provided courtesy of the Arthur W. Diamond Law Library. The workshop is sponsored by Columbia Law School’s Writing Center.
