William Shirley of Sidley Austin LLP and Dana Neacsu discuss research aspects regarding the interplay between bankruptcy law and derivatives regulation. From September 12 through October 31, 2019, on Thursdays at noon, we will cover eight different topics.  For the eighth week, the topics include researching judicial interpretation of agencies' rules. Make sure you bring your laptop because the workshop will provide hands-on experiential training in order to hone your skills in various methods for researching whether a particular case remains “good law” and to what degree federal courts should defer to federal agencies when interpreting the agencies’ rules. Some non-pizza food will be provided courtesy of the Arthur W. Diamond Law Library. The workshop is sponsored by Columbia Law School’s Writing Center.
