Study Abroad Application opens February 1 and closes March 1, 2020!

Independent Semester Abroad Application due Feb 1.

1L and 2L students are invited to join the Office of International Program for a Q & A Session Thursday, Jan 30 at 12:15 - JG 102B  to learn more about applying for Columbia Law School’s international Semester Abroad, Global Alliance and Dual Degree Programs! .  Representatives from the Registrar's office, Student Services, and Financial Aid will be present to answer questions relevant to their areas of expertise.

We offer more than 25 programs in 12 countries, many of which are conducted in English. This information session will provide you an excellent opportunity to discover the range of options available to you.   Students in their 1L or 2L year may apply for international semester abroad or global alliance programs (Amsterdam, Paris, Oxford [2Ls only]) for the next academic year. The online application for study abroad will be available from February 1 to March 1, 2020.

Important Notes:

  1. You must apply in your 1L year for a Dual Degree Program (JD/LLM or Master in London, Paris or Frankfurt) that will entail spending your 3L year abroad. The application for the Dual Degree program should be completed in February 2020 by 1L students who wish to spend 2021-2022 abroad.
  2. FEB 1 DEADLINE FOR INDEPENDENT STUDY PROGRAM: Students may propose their own independent single-semester programs of study at a foreign school not found on this list. Students who plan to apply for an independent study abroad program must submit a special addendum on or before February 1, 2020.  This includes one-semester programs in London at SOAS or Kings, though students interested in those programs do not need to fill out the full special addendum, just the biographical part and some possible courses they may wish to take.

See here for our PowerPoint presentation from the Fall Study Abroad General Information Session and the FAQ page on the International Programs website.

We look forward to seeing you and answering your questions at this important info session!

Your RSVP is appreciated!

Pizza lunch will be served.
