SANDRA JEFFERSON GRANNUM is the Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer of the New York State Office of the Attorney General (OAG). Her prior positions with the OAG were as follows Legal Recruitment Bureau Chief (February 2007-July 2019), Acting Health Care Bureau Chief (January 2007-May 2007), and Deputy Bureau Chief in the Health Care Bureau (November 2002–January 2007). Her professional career covers a wide spectrum of experiences including judicial clerkships, corporate in-house counsel, teaching, and government and law firm litigation positions. More specifically, Ms. Grannum had the privilege of serving as the first senior law clerk for the late Honorable George Bundy Smith, Associate Judge, New York State Court of Appeals, and as his last law secretary at the Appellate Division, First Department. Prior to that, she clerked at the Appellate Term, First Department, and the Superior Court for the District of Columbia. Some of her other professional experiences include serving as an Assistant Corporation Counsel in New York City and Washington, DC, a litigation associate at Stroock & Stroock & Lavan, and Vice President of Corporate Legal Affairs at Avanti Corporate Health Systems. Ms. Grannum’s volunteer civic activities include the following: Commissioner, NYC Taxi & Limousine Commission (1991-1995) (appointed by Mayor David Dinkins); Member, Governor’s Second Department Judicial Screening Committee (appointed by Chief Judge Judith Kaye) (1993-2006); Member, Appellate Division, First Department Character Committee (1996-present); and Practicing Attorneys and Law Students (PALS). Ms. Grannum, a native of Washington, DC, is a graduate of Georgetown University Law Center and Johns Hopkins University. 

ROBIN EDWARDS is the Director of the Legal Hiring Unit at the New York County District Attorney’s Office. She oversees the legal staff and summer law student and college intern hiring as well as the semester-long clinical intern programs for college and law students. She also supports the Chief Diversity Officer. She began her career as an Assistant to the Director of Law Placement at Columbia Law School and then served as Director of Placement at New York Law School. Prior to joining the Manhattan DA’s Office, she worked for several law firms as the Legal Personnel and Recruitment Director, most notably at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison for 15 years. Robin has been a speaker locally and nationally on a variety of topics related to interviewing skills, resume preparation, and lawyer recruitment and retention throughout her career.

LILLIAN EVANS is the Deputy Director of Legal Recruitment at the New York City Law Department. The New York City Law Department's approximately 1,000 attorneys represent the City, the Mayor, other elected officials, and the City's many agencies in all affirmative and defensive civil litigation, as well as juvenile delinquency proceedings brought in Family Court and Administrative Code enforcement proceedings brought in Criminal Court. Law Department attorneys also provide legal advice to City officials as well as draft and review local and State legislation, real estate leases, procurement contracts, and financial instruments for the sale of municipal bonds. As Deputy Director of Legal Recruitment, Lilli recruits experienced attorneys and recent law school graduates for attorney positions, and current law students for internship positions at the Law Department. In addition, she manages the agency’s Summer Honors Internship Program and its Division Transfer Period. Lilli is a member of the Law Department’s Women’s Committee and Coaching Collaborative. Prior to becoming the Deputy Director of Legal Recruitment, Lilli was an Assistant Corporation Counsel in the Tort Division of the Law Department where she defended the City, its agencies and employees in personal injury and property damage suits. Lilli holds a J.D. from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law and a B.A. from the University of Michigan.
