Any student—1L, 2L, or 3L—planning to apply for the prestigious two-year Skadden Foundation Fellowship, which supports public interest work with a host organization, is strongly encouraged to attend. Susan Butler Plum, Director of the Skadden Foundation, will be present to provide valuable information about the fellowship, its project requirements, and the application process. There will be a Q&A, so bring at least one good question!

The guiding principle of the Skadden Foundation is to improve legal services for the poor and encourage economic independence. To date, the Foundation has funded over 800 fellowships. Ninety percent of former fellows remain in public service, and almost all of them continue working on the same issues they addressed in their original fellowship projects.

Skadden Fellowships are due September 16, 2019. You are eligible to apply if you will be a 3L or a judicial clerk in October 2019. Learn more.

Lunch will be served. Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options will be available. If you have further dietary restrictions, email Diana Pedi at [email protected] at least two business days prior to the event, and we will do our best to accommodate them.
