Join us for an overview of postgrad public interest fellowships in which we will discuss how fellowships can serve as an important path to finding and paying for a public service job. This session will introduce attendees to the role of, and types of, fellowships available to graduates pursuing careers in public interest, government, or human rights law. 2Ls who plan to apply for fellowships beginning in fall 2020, as well as 3Ls who will seek a fellowship following a clerkship, are strongly advised to attend. This session is also geared toward 1Ls who will benefit from understanding the landscape ahead, in order to start to thinking through how to craft a path to obtaining a fellowship.
Topics will include: types of fellowships, methods for finding fellowship opportunities, process for obtaining fellowships, and specialized fellowship advising available through Social Justice Initiatives.
Non-pizza lunch will be served, including vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. If you have further dietary restrictions, email Tareian King at least 2 business days prior to the event and we will do our best to accommodate them. Hosted by SJI.
