The monthly Lawyering for Change series kicks off with a focus on how to approach your law school classes—including 1L foundation and core upper-level classes—so that they connect with your interests in pursuing roles as lawyers for change. A small group of faculty and upper-level students will first share perspectives on how they integrate issues and concerns involving lawyers' roles in addressing pressing problems or promoting positive change into classes ranging from torts to civil procedure to corporations. Discussion will follow.
A non-pizza lunch will be served. Sponsored by the Public Interest Lawyering and Leadership Committee and SJI. The Lawyering for Change series is a monthly workshop aimed at providing an opportunity for faculty, students, staff, and alumni to interact informally with each other, framed by brief remarks about an issue or topic relating to the general theme.
