This CLE will explore how lawyers and advocates are leveraging human rights principles and mechanisms to strengthen protections of economic and social rights and to respond to the systematic criminalization of poverty in the United States, which perpetuates inequality and has a disparate impact on communities of color. Participants will also identify opportunities for strategic human rights advocacy moving forward.
