Learn how to effectively communicate your background and experience in written format to make a positive impression on employers.  Market yourself effectively with resumes, cover letters and other documents that support your job applications.

Attendance at one of the "Presenting Yourself in Writing" workshops is mandatory, for either Private Sector or Public Interest, depending on your career goals. The Office of Career Services' workshops will focus on the standard styles of resumes appropriate for the private sector in the US. The Social Justice Initiatives' workshop will focus on resume styles for careers in public interest or government. Cover letters and resumes for these fields are very different from one another. You may choose to attend either or both the private sector session and the public interest/government session.

Please note that you are REQUIRED to attend a private sector workshop in order to participate in the private sector job fair known as the Overseas-Trained LL.M. Interview Program".

Attendance at this session is recommended for junior attorneys (0-3 years experience), however, all levels of experience are welcome.

Please bring your laptop and your water bottle. Lunch will be served.
