The Flores Exhibits is a series of short videos in which artists, lawyers, policy experts, and individuals with personal experiences of immigration read the sworn testimonies of children and young adults held in detention centers at the U.S. Border. Readers include Arian Moayed (Waterwell Co-Founder, Succession), Maulik Pancholy (30 Rock), Sakina Jaffrey (The West Wing), Kathleen Chalfant (The Affair), Jeffrey Chase, former Immigration Judge, Lenni Benson, Safe Passage Project, Melissa Chandler, New Sanctuary Coalition, Luis Mancheno, Immigration Lawyer + Refugee, and Clint Ramos, Costume Designer + Filipino immigrant.

Warren BinfordElora Mukherjee and Luis Mancheno will speak at the launch event. Warren Binford is leading national efforts on this issue through Project Amplify, and she will be testifying on Capitol Hill Sept 11-12 with a group of pediatricians about the extremely detrimental effects of detention on children. Luis Mancheno is a refugee from Ecuador, who now works in NYC as an extremely impressive immigration lawyer. Elora Mukherjee is the Director of the Immigrants' Rights Clinic at Columbia University, and took many of these testimonies herself during one of her many trips to the border as a monitor for Flores.

The Trump administration has recently announced a proposal to scrap the Flores Settlement Agreement entirely, replacing a 20-day limit on detention for minors with indefinite detention, which adds urgency to this public awareness and grassroots organizing campaign.

At this launch event, the videos will be available to watch immersively, and there will also be a performance from Ana VillafaƱe (Gloria Estefan in On Your Feet).
