Evans Muzere '13, Senior Attorney in the Banking Regulation and Policy section of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System’s Legal Division, will discuss the culture at the Board, the life of a summer law clerk, and opportunities with the Board beyond the summer.

ABOUT THE BOARD OF GOVERNORS OF THE FEDERAL RESERVE SYSTEM:

An independent agency of the federal government, the Board serves as the nation’s central bank and conducts monetary policy; maintains the stability of the U.S. financial system; supervises and regulates a wide range of banking institutions, including systemically important financial institutions; and provides key financial services to depository institutions.

The Legal Division comprises approximately 100 attorneys working in three primary groups: Banking Regulation and Policy; Litigation, Enforcement, and System Matters; and Monetary and Consumer Affairs. 

ABOUT EVANS MUZERE:

Evans Muzere is a Senior Attorney in the Banking Regulation and Policy section of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System’s Legal Division. His areas of focus include mergers and acquisitions under the Bank Holding Company Act and Bank Merger Act, the international operations of U.S. banking organizations, foreign banking organizations’ operations in the U.S., and supervised financial institutions’ third-party risk management practices.   Prior to joining the legal division, he was a Legal Fellow at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. He is a graduate of Boston College and Columbia Law School.
