We invite you to join First Generation Professionals for an interactive panel & workshop on how to convey experiences and skills that may not appear on a resume as strengths during interviews. First Gen Attorneys/Practitioners (many of whom are heavily involved in the hiring
process at their respective firms or organizations) will share industry-specific insights on crafting one’s narrative and provide students with advice and examples about how to effectively connect their unique background experiences with the information on their resume within a panel.
We also hope to provide students with information about the types of skills or courses that employers highly value, as well as how to address any gaps or weaknesses they perceive in their application. After the panel, Practitioners and students who have been through the interview process will work with small groups of students on how a student can stand out during the interview process.
