Please join the Federalist Society as we celebrate Constitution Day with Judge James C. Ho of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
Prior to his appointment, Judge Ho was a partner in the Dallas office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, where he served as co-chair of the firm’s national Appellate and Constitutional Law practice group. Before entering private practice, Judge Ho served as the Solicitor General of Texas, Chief Counsel to U.S. Senator John Cornyn on the Senate Judiciary Committee, Special Assistant to the Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights, and attorney-advisor at the Department of Justice's Office of Legal Counsel. After law school, Judge Ho served as a law clerk to Judge Jerry E. Smith on the Fifth Circuit and to Justice Clarence Thomas on the U.S. Supreme Court. He holds a BA from Stanford University and a JD from the University of Chicago Law School.
