On Tuesday, December 6 at 12:10pm, join the Office of Judicial Clerkships (OJC) for an information session on Columbia's Clerkships Diversity Initiative. The Columbia Law School Clerkships Diversity Initiative, now in its second year, seeks to increase the clerkship diversity pipeline for the Class of 2024 by providing women, underrepresented racial and ethnic minorities, members of the LGBTQIA+ community, first-generation professionals, and/or those who identify as members of other traditionally underrepresented groups with faculty mentorship, alumni mentorship, supplemental academic support, and skill-based training opportunities.
OJC seeks to ensure an expansive definition of the meaning of diversity, openness, and inclusion, and seeks to realize it in the broadest terms — including gender expression and sexual orientation, disability status, veteran status, first-generation professional status, socioeconomic background, and members of other traditionally underrepresented groups in the profession.
Applications will open on December 1, 2022, and will close on January 9, 2023 at 5 PM EST. All 2Ls are welcome to apply. Students will be notified of their acceptance to the program prior to the start of the Spring semester.
Please RSVP so that we can order the appropriate amount of food.
