Join Rightslink and NALSA at the start of Native American Heritage Month as they show "By Blood." The film tells the story of the Freedmen, descendants of formerly enslaved members of Native American Nations who were denied citizenship in the late 20th century based on their classification in the Dawes Rolls. Their struggle for re-recognition and inclusion raises issues of indigenous sovereignty, race, historical memory, and law.
