Every spring semester, public and private sector employers come to Columbia to interview J.D. students for summer and postgraduate jobs. This year, interviews will take place online.
Interviews are assigned by lottery. Students must bid for spots with employers of interest between noon on January 10 and January 17 at 5 p.m. See below for bidding instructions and timeline.
How to Participate
- Starting at 12 p.m. EST on Friday, January 10, each student will be able to select (or bid on) up to 10 employers via Symplicity.
- You will be required to upload a resume (either in the private sector format, public sector format, or both) to Symplicity.
- Once the bidding window closes, interviews are assigned through a computer-generated lottery system.
- More details regarding the bidding process will be emailed to J.D. students from the email [email protected].
Timeline (all times are in EST)
- Bidding Period Begins: Friday, January 10 at 12 p.m.
- Bidding Period Ends: Friday, January 17 at 5 p.m.
- Interview Schedules Available: Tuesday, January 21 at 12 p.m.
- Spring Interviews Held: Friday, January 24 through early March
