The Columbia Organization of Rising Entrepreneurs (CORE) and the Columbia Data Science Society are hosting an 'AI: Ethics and Law' panel on Thursday, March 28th. The panel will feature world-class speakers Chris Wiggins (Chief Data Scientist at the New York Times, Columbia DSI), Solon Barocas (Founder of FAT/ML, Microsoft Research), and Colleen Chien (IP Professor @ Columbia Law School, named in "Top 50 IP Thought Leaders in the World").

The event will cover ethical and legal issues posed by data-driven AI/ML algorithms: liability for AI-induced damages, intellectual property law that accounts for algorithmic 'creativity', regulating algorithmic 'explainability,' and more. The event will take place from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM in the Law School, at Jerome Greene Hall Room 101.
