Public interest, human rights, and government employers often rely more on cover letters than resumes to assess candidates, so a thoughtful and well-written cover letter is essential to your application materials. Learn how to effectively communicate your background and experience in written format for internships and other opportunities. Although your experience may not seem like a perfect fit, the cover letter can make connections between your experiences and the job for which you are applying. In this program, we will also discuss the distinctions between a public interest and private sector cover letter. This program is mandatory for 1L students.
Lunch will be provided. Vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options will be available. If you have any other dietary requirements, please email [email protected] at least five business days before the event. We will do our best to accommodate last-minute requests.
