  • Rule of Professional Conduct addressing professional responsibility
  • Reading of cases and state bar opinions addressing areas of professional responsibility, and application of the cases and opinions to ethics issues
  • values-based considerations in ethical rules
  • various lawyering skills, for example, working collaboratively, understanding rules of professional conduct and applying the rules to common ethics issues faced by lawyers, understanding and applying guidance provided by various state bar opinions.

  • some discussion of multijurisdictional approaches to professional responsibility, including transnational examples
