- At the end of the course, students will have acquired some feeling for the importance of ethical questions in law
- At the end of the course, students will have acquired some appreciation of jurisprudential considerations in legal analysis
- At the end of the course, students will have acquired some understanding of the historical development of law and legal institutions
- In the course, students will have been exposed to the use of other disciplines in the analysis of legal problems and institutions, for example, philosophy; economics; and history
