Learning Outcome Goals

Primary Goals

  • At the end of the course, students will have acquired understanding of and/or facility in ethical and professional issues, especially as they relate to the practice of criminal law;
  • At the end of the course, students will have acquired understanding of and/or facility in standards, rules and guidelines that govern and advise attorneys regarding professional responsibility;
  • At the end of the course, students will have acquired understanding of and/or facility in anticipating and resolving ethical dilemmas faced by criminal defense and prosecuting attorneys;
  • At the end of the course, students will have acquired understanding of and/or facility in values-based considerations in law-making.
