Michael Gerber is an Assistant U.S. Attorney and Co-Chief of the Violent and Organized Crime Unit in the United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York. He previously served as Co-Chief of the Narcotics Unit and as Co-Lead Task Force Attorney for the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force. Michael has been an Assistant U.S. Attorney since 2012. Prior to joining the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Michael was an associate at Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz, and served as a law clerk to the Honorable David H. Souter of the United States Supreme Court and the Honorable Pierre N. Leval of the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. Michael received his J.D. from Yale Law School in 2005, and his A.B. from Harvard College in 2002.
