Harlan Fiske Stone Moot Court 2017
Nico Gurian ’17 was awarded the Lawrence S. Greenbaum Prize for best oral presentation in the final round of the Harlan Fiske Stone Moot Court Competition on April 4, 2017. Nicole E. Smith ’17 was recognized for submitting the best brief.
The oral arguments were the culmination of a demanding elimination competition, and it challenged students to argue an appellate case before distinguished visiting judges. This year, the court included Albert Diaz of the United States Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit, Mary H. Murguia of the United States Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit, and Patricia A. Millett of the United States Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit.
The Lawrence S. Greenbaum Prize, which is awarded annually, was established in 1951 by family and friends in memory of Lawrence S. Greenbaum 1912.
