Practice Area and Region-Specific Advising
“But What If I’m Interested In ...”
In addition to our full-time and part-time staff, SJI has a nationwide team of expert, part-time career advisors who are graduates working in public interest or government. They are based in New York and other major U.S. cities. Students and graduates looking to gain deeper knowledge about specific practice areas or information about opportunities in a specific city or region should consult with the appropriate advisor for their interests. They can provide insight into their particular fields, organizations and job markets, and give "on the ground" advice about job hunting, networking, local public interest organizations, and the local and regional legal communities.
To see if a public interest career advisor is working in a region or practice area of interest to you, review the information included under their names on the Contact Us page.
Click on any advisor for his or her full bio and contact information. Students and grads are welcome to reach out to our advisors directly for advice or to set up an appointment. If you don't see your region or practice area listed, set up an appointment with a full-time advisor (get started here) and we will work with you to find an appropriate contact.
