Introduction to State Attorney General GLBT/HIV Issues Database
Welcome to the first comprehensive collection of state attorney general (“state AG”) opinions that relate to gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender (GLBT) issues and HIV/AIDS issues. This database is searchable by category, state, and key words. We hope that this database will be a useful resource for advocates and researchers alike.
The Columbia Law School Sexuality & Gender Law Clinic has also prepared a resource guide entitled “State Attorneys General: A Resource for Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Advocacy Groups.” The guide offers information and analysis to assist GLBT advocacy organizations in their work with state AGs.
Together, the database and guide are designed to help GLBT advocacy organizations harness the power of state AGs to promote GLBT rights protections in schools, housing, and other domains under state control.
For a copy of the resource guide or to share your materials or experiences working with state AGs, please contact Clinic Director Suzanne Goldberg at suzanne.goldberg@law.columbia.edu.
