Scholars to Discuss Perspectives on Critical Race Theory
The Black Law Students Association will host the annual Paul Robeson Conference on Friday, March 31, 2006, at the Law School.  Titled "Perspectives on Critical Race Theory," the conference will commemorate the 10th Anniversary of the book Critical Race Theory: The Key Writings.

Schedule of Events:

8:30 a.m., Registration and Continental Breakfast

9:15 a.m., Welcome and Opening Remarks by Dean David Schizer

9:30am, Panel 1: Liberal Universalism, the Identity Critique, and Fundamentalism: The Methodology and Politics of Race. Moderated by Gary Peller, Georgetown University Law school.

11:15am, Panel 2: Sites of Contestation: Schools, Jails, Hurricanes and Terrorism from a Critical Perspective; Moderated by Professor Kimberle Crenshaw, Columbia Law School and UCLA School of Law.

1:00 pm: Luncheon and Keynote Speech, Patricia Williams, RSVP Required, blsapaulrobeson@gmail.com. At capacity!

2:20pm, Panel 3: Crossing Borders: Comparative and International Perspectives on Critical Race Theory, Moderated by Professor Kendall Thomas, Columbia Law School.
