On April 28, 2005, Columbia Law School and The National Law Journal hosted a roundtable titled, "The Class Action Fairness Act of 2005: The Right Fix for a Broken System Or 'A Bad Idea Whose Time Has Come?'"

The panel was moderated by Columbia Law Professor Catherine Sharkey, and featured John Beisner of O'Melveny & Myers in Washington, DC, Elizabeth Cabraser of Lieff Cabraser Heimann & Bernstein, LLP in San Francisco, Gregory Joseph of Gregory P.
