  Deans' Cup 2005   
The Deans' Cup is an annual basketball game played between the students from Columbia and NYU law schools. Last year over 1,200 students and alumni attended the game which, thanks to the generous support of our sponsoring law firms, enabled us to donate $40,000 dollars to the public interest law organizations at NYU and Columbia. Together with ancillary activities, such as a pre-game cocktail reception, a half-time faculty game, and a post-game party, the event helped to further unite Columbia and NYU students, faculty, and alumni.
  
  April 1st Lecture by Charles R. Lawrence, III   
On Friday, April 1, 2005, Columbia President Lee C. Bollinger will introduce Georgetown Law Professor Charles R. Lawrence, III, for a lecture titled "Two Views of the River: A Critique of the Liberal Defense of Affirmative Action."

On April 7th, Columbia Law's Center on Global Legal Problems will host a roundtable from 4-5:30p.m. on "The UN Security Council’s Counter-Terrorism Efforts" and from 6:30-8p.m. on "“Lessons from the World Health Organization’s Framework Convention on Tobacco Control: The Future of International Law in the Globalization of Public Health."
