This speaker series, inaugurated in the fall of 1999, promotes robust exchanges on issues of common concern. Speakers invited to Columbia, from academe or practice, are asked to make short presentations, allowing plenty of time for open discussion.

Subject to available seating, all sessions are open to the Columbia University community as well as to members of the general public.

All sessions are from 12:30-1:25 p.m. in room 104, Jerome Greene Hall, 435 West 116th Street with a light lunch provided on a first come, first serve basis (starting at around 12:20 p.m.).

Organizers for the series are Professors José E. Alvarez and Roy Lee, along with the Center on Global Legal Problems.
