Amato Named to Italian High Court

Former Italian Prime Minister Giuliano Amato ’63 M.C.L. was recently appointed as a justice of the Constitutional Court of Italy. Amato served as the country’s prime minister from 1992 to 1993, and again from 2000 to 2001. He was also a member of Italy’s parliament for 18 years, and served as both the minister for the treasury and as the minster of the interior. From 2012 to 2013, Amato was president of the Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies of Pisa.
