Students Celebrate D.C. Externship

Summer 2011

This past fall, Columbia Law School hosted a reception at the Washington, D.C., office of Epstein Becker Green to recognize students who participated in the Law School’s newly minted Externship on the Federal Government in D.C. Dean David M. Schizer congratulated the nine third-year students who completed externships at federal agencies, including the departments of State, Justice, Treasury, Education, and Health and Human Services.

William Kopit ’64 and Zaid Zaid ’07 helped host the event, and adjunct professor Michael Shenkman, who led the program in D.C., was also on hand for the celebration.
