Legal Services NYC has presented Columbia Law School with the organization’s Pro Bono Leaders award. The honor recognizes the efforts of Law School students and attorneys from Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy on behalf of the Low Income Taxpayer Clinic, which provides needy New York City residents with legal representation in disputes with the IRS.

The clinic is one of the in-house pro bono projects led by Social Justice Initiatives. Professor Alex Raskolnikov serves as a faculty adviser on the project.
