Law School Hosts Global Reunion in London

Winter 2009

As part of the festivities surrounding its 150th anniversary, Columbia Law School recently hosted a global reunion in London. Alumni and friends from around the world enjoyed historical tours of the city and rides aboard the London Eye, as well as a symposium titled “Law in a Global Society.” Lord Patten of Barnes, a member of the House of Lords and former governor of Hong Kong, delivered the keynote address titled “Tackling the New Global Agenda.” The symposium also hosted several other speakers, including 10 Columbia Law School professors, who commented on issues such as international intellectual property, the global economic downturn, human rights, and terrorism.
