Blackberry Information

Configuration Information

Configuring a Blackberry to receive email from the Law School email server is easy. You can find configuration, purchasing information, and instructions on the Blackberry 7250/7750 models and the Treo 650/ 700s models below:

The IT department can also help you configure your PDA. We operate a Blackberry Enterprise Server (BES). The Blackberry server synchronizes your Lotus Notes email, calendar, To-Do list, etc...with your Blackberry device. At the moment, there are only plans for the Blackberry server service.

Unfortunately, the Law School IT department is not in a position to support the hardware and software on your PDA, but we will be happy to take a look, assist you in the configuration, and point you in the right direction. At present, if you have a device failure or severe data mismatch on your PDA you'll have to contact Verizon www.verizonwireless.com, if that's your carrier of choice, for support.

IT and the University has worked with Verizon to offer bundle plans and competitive pricing. When you are ready to purchase your Blackberry or Treo, you can contact the Columbia Verizon Wireless Sales representative directly. Our representative's information is listed below: Verizon Wireless Sales Representative: John Mester 914-844-5122 John.Mester@verizonwireless.com.
