Security is required to be present during high-attendance, high-profile and/or weekend events. An account number to charge is secured before the event. The current rates for Security services are:

• Generally, student events for CLS students and faculty in which students can swipe in to the building themselves do not require security.
• If students are holding very large events (more than 80 students expected) on the weekend, they must notify building events to see if they will be required to hire security.
• If students are holding weekend events at which non-CLS people are expected to attend, or a weekend event which is very controversial in nature, then you must notify building events a week in advance so that they can arrange for a guard.
• An event held at JGH with a controversial subject matter and large outside crowd turn out may require more than one guard on duty; as a result, one guard would be posted at the front lobby security desk, and the second guard providing a roving patrol to help monitor crowd control.
