Roger Hertog is Vice Chairman of the Board of Alliance Capital Management Corporation. He joined Alliance Capital after its 2000 acquisition of Sanford C. Bernstein Inc., where he had served as President and CEO since 1993. A co-founder of The New York Sun, he is currently chairman of the Manhattan Institute, a trustee of both the American Enterprise Institute for Public Policy Research and the New York Public Library, and a member of the New York Society of Security Analysts.
Mr. Hertog is chairman of the New York Historical Society; chairman emeritus of the Manhattan Institute; and a board member of the New York Public Library, Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the New York Philharmonic.
Hertog also funds the Hertog Global Strategy Initiative, a research program at Columbia University that uses historical analysis to confront problems in world politics.
