Professor Weiner, who recently retired from the international law firm of McDermott, Will & Emery LLP, headed that firm’s New York trial department for over fifteen years. Professor Weiner focused his practice on complex commercial law disputes and represented plaintiffs and defendants in cases pending in state and federal courts located throughout the United States. As part of his practice, Professor Weiner represented the interests of American, European and Asian clients in various international arbitration proceedings governed by UNCITRAL rules, ICC rules, ICDR rules as well as by ad hoc rules agreed to by the parties. Professor Weiner has also served as an arbitrator in AAA, ICDR and ICC arbitrations. When he was in active practice, Professor Weiner was annually recognized as a “Super Lawyer” in the New York and Corporate Counsel Editions of “Super Lawyers Magazine.” Professor Weiner graduated earned his J.D. from Columbia Law School in 1972.
