Nicole Levin Mesard is a corporate partner at Debevoise & Plimpton LLP, a member of the firm’s Real Estate Group and Chair of the firm’s Hiring Committee. She is experienced in all aspects of real estate law, including acquisitions and sales of retail and commercial properties, sophisticated financings, joint ventures, infrastructure transactions and restructurings of commercial real estate loans, including in bankruptcy. Her clients include Westfield Corporation, Tishman Speyer, Carmel Partners and Teachers Insurance and Annuity Association of America.
Mesard is a Fellow to the American College of Real Estate Lawyers (“ACREL”) and is recognized as a leading lawyer by various legal publications including Chambers USA and The Legal 500. She is frequently asked to speak at industry conferences and events, most recently including the New York State Bar Association’s Advanced Real Estate Topics 2015 and the International Council of Shopping Centers’ US Shopping Center Law Conference.
Mesard joined Debevoise in 2001 and became a partner in 2008. She received her B.A. from the State University of New York at Albany magna cum laude in 1994, and her J.D. from Tulane University magna cum laude in 1997.
