Michael Nissan is a partner of the firm of Weil, Gotshal & Manges.
He has a wide-ranging practice in private equity which includes representing private funds and their sponsors in connection with their formation as well as representing institutional investors in such funds. He has been awarded the highest ranking by Chambers Global World's Leading Lawyers. Nissan was the founding chairman of the Private Investment Fund Forum and continues to serve as a member of its executive committee. He has also served as a member of the advisory board of Private Equity Terms and Conditions - The Current State of the Market for Venture Capital, Buyout, and Mezzanine Funds, published by Asset Alternatives Inc.
Nissan earned his J.D. from New York University School of Law and is a graduate of Syracuse University.
